Recognizing that perhaps one in ten voters have not yet decided
if, or for whom, they are voting for Howard County Council, District Four, I
want to reiterate my support of Deb Jung.
Ms. Jung is a proven, long-time, and steadfast advocate for
Howard County.
Her meritorious record of community service spans many years
and causes, ranging from education-centric groups such as the PTA and Booster
Clubs, to human rights-oriented organizations including the Howard County Human
Rights Commission and the Martin Luther King, Jr. Howard County Holiday
Commission, to the arts through her time as the President of the Executive’s
Charity for the Arts. And that is only a
partial listing of her volunteer activities.
On the professional side, she is an attorney who has worked
with a number of organizations, many of which are dedicated to helping everyday
people in their day-to-day lives when it comes to health care, child care, and
other pressing human service needs.
It is precisely this sort of practical, values-in-action community
involvement that will serve her constituents extremely well, should she be
elected to the County Council.
Her record of community engagement demonstrates her dedication
to the people of Howard County. It is a
record that her opponent, a comparative new-comer to the County, simply cannot
match.
Moreover, Deb Jung’s ebullience and genuineness are, frankly, a
breath of fresh air. Thus, her unique
combination of a new outlook along with her established commitment to helping
improve the quality of Howard County living offers the voters of District Four
a clear choice. That is why I support
Deb Jung for County Council, District Four and I encourage all of my D4 neighbors to
cast their ballot for her as well.
In solidarity.
